Vicki and Tom, the husband and wife team of IS, work primarily from their Springfield, Ohio studio, but often travel to gain inspiration, work on a photographic project, learn new things, eat good foods, and spend time enjoying a new place together with their daughter.
Vicki and Tom are both native Midwesterners. Ohioans. Vicki from Lorain, an ethnic melting pot on the shores of Lake Erie; and Tom from a small farm in the middle of rolling hills outside the small college town of Granville.
Vicki and Tom met in 1998 while working together in Columbus, Ohio, and started their business in 2004 primarily as a photographic studio. Itinerant Studio evolved focusing on their artwork, as well as some amazing collaborations with other artists, designers, non-profits, and small creative companies.
When Vicki and Tom moved to Springfield, Ohio in 2006 they knew it was the place to grow Itinerant Studio. With a diverse economy and population, as well as more museums than McDonalds, a Frank Lloyd Wright house (Westcott House), a symphony, bike trails and kayak runs, an active group of working artists, and countless other cultural and outdoor activities, Springfield fostered the type of working and living space they wanted to be a part of.
Today Itinerant Studio is in a new building with more space and a small creative staff that produces artwork for countless shops, interior designers, architects, and the hospitality industry.
