Amy Leventhal

Hometown?

Springfield, Ohio

Where do you live now?

Upstate New York where I moved after living in New York City. I worked for a large painting studio that did work all over the world.

Kids, Partners, Pets, Siblings?

Twin sister and younger brother. My sister and I have a decorative painting business. We also create dog feeders that our brothers powder coating company paints.

Got anything interesting to share?

I help to paint Cheesecake Factory restaurants across the country. I also lived in Israel on a kibbutz and worked in the banana fields. I’ve worked with baby ostriches and in the watermelon fields. I walked 150  miles of the Camino de Santiago in Spain. And I was chased by an elephant on safari in Kruger National Park.

What do you do when you’re at the studio?

I do decorative painting and come up with new ideas for printing surfaces such as gold leaf and fresco boards.

How did you end up at Itinerant?

My sister emailed Vicki on facebook after reading a newspaper article on them. We met at a coffee shop and the ideas started flowing!

What makes Itinerant so special?

Just walking into the studio and feeling the creative, positive energy makes you want to stay. Their attitude and how they treat employees like family is so special.  I feel like a part of their family in the studio. And, the positive energy is contagious!

What do you like about Itinerant’s involvement in the community?

They are always willing to support the community. Even with their busy schedules, they make time to help the kids at the Dome and the people of the community. Their support of the Westcott House is inspiring.

What fun stuff do we do as a company that you enjoy?

Hot chili-pepper martinis! Bringing stray animals like puppies and kittens into the studio – being at the studio is so fun.

Favorite foods?

Pizza, spaghetti, sushi, falafel – really too many too name.

Favorite cocktail?

Dirty martini and my go-to drink, vodka with soda water.

Anything else?

I love being a part of the Itinerant gang!
